38

Today, 38 years ago, my husband was born.  Out of his 38 years, I have only had the honor of knowing him for 10 (& counting!).  During the 10 years I have known Chad, I have grown to love him more and more every day.  We have shared many life changing events.  We got married in the most fantastic place, Hawaii, and we have had 3 beautiful children during the course of our almost 7 year marriage.  I am so thankful that God put us together.

I would like to share some things you may or may not know about Chad.  These are some of the things that I really love about him.

He is creative.  He surprises me often when he makes toys, games, or things to do with the kids.
He can sew.  Its not like he does it....EVER...  But, when I had a sewing machine, I had no idea how to work the darn thing.  Chad sat down and threaded the bobbin and started sewing.
Chad can build stuff.  This is something that is an envy amongst my friends.  They are constantly telling me how lucky I am.
Chad can fix stuff.  (again...envy of my friends)
He is so good at math.  I can't wrap my head around it, but he is really, really good at math.
Chad will eat pretty much anything I cook, without complaint.
If you ask "where do you want to go eat???"  He will reply "I don't care, wherever you want."  He really means it.
He LOVES frosting.  He will fight you for the frosting flowers or corner pieces of birthday cake.
Watching Americas Funniest Videos with Chad is the best.  I always laugh because he laughs at almost EVERYTHING!!!
I KNOW he LOVES me.  (even when I am at my worst, and darn right unlikeable)
HE IS AN AWESOME DAD.

I know this should be a list of 38 things, but writing and being creative is a skill that I lack.  However, I do not lack in love for Chad.  Happy Birthday Chad!!!  You are loved by many!

Here are a few random photos throughout the years....

  1. Miranda, what a nice posting and a way to honor your husband on his birthday. Thanks for loving my son and being a good mother to our grandchildren. We're proud to say Chad is our son and can see he loves his family.

Chad is, and always was a crafty handy guy. Making "numb chucks" as a kid and more recent graduated to making benches, rings, decks and etc. Now that I know he's also handy with the sewing machine he can make the next cushion covers!!!!

Blessings Chad on your birthday and my God bless you and your family. Love you lots.

And yes, Chad can sew a mean cheeseburger pillow. I'm sure it's still in mom's attic somewhere.
