Finally 5

Afton has been very persistent lately.  She keeps asking us "Am I 5 yet??"  When will I be 5?".  Well, today finally, Afton is 5. 

Afton, you are such a sweet big sister and a thoughtful little sister.  We are so blessed to have you in our family.  You are such an independent little girl, always willing to help out, and do it yourself.  Your spirit is so energetic.  I love how you skip your way around the house to get to where you are going.  You have a loving heart and you are so thoughtful.  These past 5 years have went by so fast, but they are full of so many fun memories of you.  We love you so much beautiful girl!!!

Christmas!!!!!!!!!!

Whew!  It has been a busy time here.  We have had lots to do and lots of toys to play with.  I tried my best to capture the festivities with my camera, but it was a lost cause.  Taking pictures of kids opening up gifts is best left to professionals!!!! 

Birthday Party!

Afton finally got her very own birthday party!  She had a blast.  I am Glad that almost all of her classmates attended.  Only 2 kids could not come due to a broken collarbone and the flu.  It was near impossible to get pictures of these kids.  They were wound up!  When I announced that we were going to open up presents, it was MAD CHAOS!!

Poor Drew just could not take all of the "junk food", and threw up while I was holding him.  Talk about gross!!!  After he did that, he got off my lap and went on to play.  Go figure!

In case you are wondering who the little boy is next to Afton, this is her best friend Ethan.  They are joined at the hip!  Very cute!

Drew Boy is 3!!

We had a pretty low key birthday "party" for Drew.  He got a few cool presents, a Mickey Mouse cake, and we took him to Burger King for dinner.  We sure went all out!!  haha!!!  Well, all that counts is that he was happy.

You are such a joy!  We love you so much and we cannot believe that you are 3!!!  You are such a sweet little boy.

There is something about this picture I just love.  Perhaps it is because they look so sweet and innocent??

My dear sweet boy.

Today was absolutely gorgeous.  Sunny and 70 (well it was 70 for about an hour, but I am not complaining about it because the whole day was pretty darn nice!).  I planned on taking the kids out back, or up to the golf course to take a photo of them for Christmas.  Well.....I didn't have high expectations that's for sure.  For a lack of a better term, Drew is a STINKER!  He absolutely does not like to sit for a picture.  Let me re-phrase, he kind of hates it.  We tried coaxing him with candy and cough drops (okay I know what you are thinking...cough drops????  Well, that is all we had).    After the crying and fit throwing, I got some cute pictures until I noticed he had a bit of a runny nose.  GRRRRRRR!  Maybe I shouldn't have said anything?  I am hoping nobody will notice!  At this point, I really don't care.  This photographer is done trying!

Pumpkin Patch

Can't forget about the Pumpkin Patch.  Now that was a CRAZY day!!!!  It was super busy and pretty warm too!

The sun was shining so bright that day and there were lots of trees too....  I wish there wasn't shadows all over Afton because this is such a cute picture.  She was the first one to pick out her pumpkin and she loved it so much!
