Avery was my stylist today. I have to admit, she did a pretty good job... with sticking the barrettes into my head & it was not painless. It was fun to play with her one on one. Thought I would share the memory : -)

Our sweet little Afton turned 2 today. We tried our best to make it her special day amidst all the excitement of Christmas. Happy Birthday Afton. We love you!!

Drew continues to improve every time we go visit. Earlier today they took off his oxygen so he is now breathing 'regular' air. He is still not eating the amount they would like so he still has an IV. We will be able to take him home 24 hours after they remove the IV. We're thankful for the incremental improvements and hope to take him home soon.

Update on Drew

I haven't had a chance to call everyone, but wanted to let you know that while doing well, Drew has been moved to the ICU. Apparently he is having some labored breathing and they think it's just some fluid in his lungs that he needs to work out. They are testing for pneumonia but we won't have those results until Tuesday morning. The staff here has been 100% positive but it's still hard to see him all wired up and not be able to hold him. We just got back from visiting him and he's improved since our prior visit. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Attached are some more pictures of him.

Thanksgiving Feast

Today was the Thanksgiving Feast at Avery's preschool. They hunted turkeys, went fishing, then

they settled in with some pilgrims to give thanks. Sorry the video is a little long, but just thought I would share some of Avery's fun with you all!

Here is my little Ring Tailed Lemur, too bad I didn't get a cute pic of her tail!!!!

Last night we went to our church for the annual Trunk or Treat. There is a line up of cars and the kids get to go from trunk to trunk for their treats. Very cute! Afton took to "trunk or treating" right away. I didn't even need to hold her hand, as she went to each car and held out her bag, or she just reached right out for her treats. Avery was too funny. She would say trick or treat, then she would just stare right into her bag before she would even utter a thank you. Its as if she just had to know what she was getting and if it was worth a thank you!!! We came home with lots of treats, so we probably don't even need to go out on Halloween!
