Afton's 1st Birthday

It has been 1 year since Afton has been born. However, it does not feel like a year! It has just flown by, and my baby girl is not a little "baby" anymore. She is graduating to becoming a TODDLER!!! Afton had fun on her 1st birthday and was the center of attention. We thought that she would dive into her cake, but she kind of just putzed around and took her time gobbling up the frosting.

we got the girls some dress up stuff for Christmas. I don't know who had more fun dressing up...me or the girls? Avery wanted to do her own, so she kind of "mixed & matched". Afton was a pretty good sport. She allowed me to try on lots of fun stuff.

Sleepy little girl

I often wondered about those babies that just fall asleep anywhere. I never experienced that with Avery. She was never one that could be carried from her car seat to her crib while sleeping. Falling asleep in a highchair, surely that could never happen. Bless little Afton. She is just so sweet. I guess she thought peaches were too boring for her...or maybe it was because mommy and daddy just weren't paying attention to her.

Christmas with Grandma

Here are some fun pics that were taken with my mom.  She came down to celebrate Christmas with us over the weekend.  Afton LOVES presents.  I can't believe that she is so into them.  I remember when Avery was 1, she really didn't get too excited about it.  They may look alike, but they don't have the same personalities.  That's for sure!

We went up to Michigan on 12/18 to visit with some of my family, Avery and Afton had fun playing with my Aunt Leslie's cat. Poor Murphy.

Too cute to be a ninja cat burglar!

Here we are...I am finally going to "blog"I was getting Afton dressed this afternoon, and I didn't want to "complete" her look with the smock dress I had picked out for her, because I didn't want her to stain it up before we left.  Chad made the comment that she looked like a "ninja", well she did look like a ninja, burglar, or someone up to no good.  I thought that she would like to complete her look by trying out this really awesome black hat.  As you can see, the progression of the cat burglar is marvelous!!!
